HISTORY IN THE MAKING

A NEW TAKE ON URBAN.

Tucked in the heart of Harrison West—right between downtown Columbus and The Ohio State University’s main campus—Harrison Park has transformed what was once an abandoned industrial site into a vibrant, welcoming community. For nearly a century, this 18-acre space was home to a margarine and soybean oil processing plant. By the mid-1990s, it stood vacant, casting a long shadow on the neighborhood.

Thanks to the Clean Ohio grant program, Thrive Companies (formerly Wagenbrenner Development) teamed up with Rockford Homes and Elford to breathe new life into the area. Together, they turned this former brownfield into a thoughtfully designed neighborhood filled with high-quality homes that complement the charm and character of Harrison West. What once was forgotten is now a place people are proud to call home.
